LusterBoard is one of our premium substrates that is comparable to Dibond in that it consists of two very thin sheets of aluminum bonded to either side of a lightweight core. In the case of luster board, the core is constructed of layers of pressed hardwood and furniture-grade plywood. The aluminum surfaces are factory-baked with a polyester coating for photo quality color clarity, and superior impact, rust and warp resistance. LusterBoard’s composite interior makes it half the weight of standard plywood substrates (like MDO) and a fraction the weight of similarly sized sheet aluminum.
